Thomas P. Davis, MD, FACS, is a 1990-graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. His postgraduate training includes his general surgery residency served at the National Naval Medical Center, in Bethesda, MD (1990-1995). He then went to the US Hospital in Naples, Italy, where he served as Chief of Surgical Services (1995-1997). Dr. Davis completed his trauma surgery and critical care fellowship at Grady Memorial Hospital/Emory University in Atlanta, GA (1997-1999). Dr. Davis completed his undergraduate education, i.e. his Bachelor of Arts degree in in Chemical Engineering, at University of Maryland at College Park in 1981, where he earned induction into the Omega Chi Epsilon honor society. He then joined the DuPont corporation and worked at the Savannah River Plant in Aiken, SC in the Away-From-Reactor Storage Program. Furthermore, he trained as a US Department of Energy-certified nuclear reactor control room supervisor (1984) and served as a technical expert during the design and construction of a control room simulator prior to enrolling in medical school.
